I have a feisty 8 month old who is walking and babbling like she's been here for a year. CC began to walk (10 steps at a time) during the second week of her eighth month. She simply bypassed the whole cruising phase and went from a fast crawl/scoot to standing/walking. She is so petite and fine-boned that its quite a sight to see her walking around getting into things. She has discovered she can open a draw and pull EVERYTHING out of it. She also has an uncanny ability to spot the smallest particle on the floor to place in her mouth. She has her central incisor teeth and her Maxillary teeth have begun to emerge. She has taken to hitting and screaming at her sister to get access to whatever SJ has in her possession. We have been encouraging self-feeding to improve her hand to mouth coordination.
